Transform Your Student Mobility Support: PADMICA Trainer Workshop
UPorto InterWeek 11-13 May 2026
Join the 3-day immersive PADMICA workshop, and gain ready-to-use materials and practical skills to prepare your students before their mobility and help them reflect meaningfully on their experiences afterward. The ultimate goal is to develop students’ intercultural competence and enhance the quality of study-abroad experiences.
Designed for colleagues in international offices and student services, the training combines theory and hands-on practice. You’ll explore:
- Communication foundations: rhetorical practice and cross-cultural communication dynamics
- Critical intercultural concepts: culture (shock) models, stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination
- Practical trainer competencies: didactic approaches, facilitation methods, and session design
- Real-world challenges: supporting students navigating poverty, inequality, and diverse cultural contexts – and much more
Application deadline: 30 January.
